George Mouroutis is a Publisher and Journalist. He was born in Athens in 1972, graduated from Athens College and studied Marketing Management, History and Archaeology and holds a Master’s degree in Political Science. He is Founder and General Manager of ThePresident.gr, commentator on ONE television station and Founder and CEO of Athens Bookstore Publications. He served as Director of the Press Office of the Prime Minister (2012-2015), Director of the Press Office of the Ministry of Culture (2009), member of the Organizing Committee for the Acropolis Museum opening ceremony, member of the Bord of Directors of OPAP S.A.. He also worked in major multinational companies, as a strategy and communication consultant for companies and organizations of the public and private sector and in the media sector, as co-founder and development manager of Liberal.gr and as a communications executive of Technical Press and En Lefko radio station. He is a member of the Hellenic Book Association, the Union of Digital & Periodical Press , the IAB, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Historical Association “Friends of Mount Athos”.
