The “National Book Center“ (EKEBI), Legal Entity under Private Law, supervised by the Minister of Culture and Sports, based in Athens, was established by Article 9 of Law No. 2273/1994 (Government Gazette A 233) and was abolished by Article 8 of Law No. 4250/2014 – Government Gazette 74/A/26-3-2014.

HFBC restores research carried out by EKEBI for archival and research purposes, but also for the documentation of institutional memory.
