Cosmonaut

State Award for Young Adult Literary Book 2024

Cosmonaut is not a science fiction book. It is a book about science fiction.

It is an ode to that wonderful genre, a journey of inner self-discovery against the background of the books of Le Guen, Asimov, Philip K. Dick, but also the comics of Moebius and Bilal, the saga of George Lucas, the works of the great sci-fi creators. At the same time, it is a book about the pleasure of reading, the anxiety of writing and the anxiety of exposition. And finally a book about the joy of being where you belong and doing what you love.

A young man is looking for his place in Athens. Bogged down in morning office work, his only thrill is voracious reading of sci-fi books. When he starts reading the Cosmodromio, a science fiction magazine and more, it leads him on the great adventure of his life.

Cosmonaut has mystery, humor, wanderlust, new friendships, romances… and it might even have aliens.
