Anthi holds PhD on LIS, master’s degree on the Management of Cultural Organizations and Bachelor on Political sciences.
She is director of the University of Piraeus Library (2011- ) and was director of the Technical University of Crete Library (1985-2003).
She was an adjunct professor on LIS at TEI of Athens (University of West Attica) (2001-2011) and on the Management of Cultural Organizations at HOU (2017-23).
She organizes international scientific conferences on the Library and Information Science (IATUL 1999, IFLA Satellite 2010 και 2019, EBLIDA 2022, Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in Libraries– QQML, since 2009). She acts as Chief Editor of the QQML e-journal and the Springer Nature Advanced Applications on Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in Information Science. She is also member of the editorial board of the Journal of Web Librarianship and has been editor of publications of DeGrauyter and World Scientific.
Her research interests include library management and human resources, the future of libraries, the impact of technology on, the strengths of Library Associations, and the reading society.
She is President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Greek Librarians and Information Scientists and Committee Member of the IFLA Europe Regional Division.
