Antonis D. Skiathas was born in Athens, and lives in Patras, Greece. He studied chemical engineering and creative writing at Master’s level.

Antonis D. Skiathas was born in Athens, and lives in Patras, Greece. He studied chemical engineering and creative writing at Master’s level. He’s a poet, an anthologist and critic of literature. His poems have been translated into fifteen languages and he has been anthologized both within Greece and abroad. He co-edited the literary magazine Elitrohos at the 90’s. He is the founder and director of Patras World Poetry Festival, the Bureau of Poetry, the Jean Moréas awards and the Culture Book https://www.culturebook.gr/.
In 2020, the E.U.N.I.C. honored him by appointing him representative poet of Greece in the United Kingdom. He taught poetry in two different Master’s Programs for Creative Writing in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is a member of the Writers Collaboration and an elected member of its board of directors, the Circle of Poets, PEN Greece, the Philological Association “Parnassos” and he is the Honorary President of the Greek Library of London. His poetic composition “The Architecture of Silence” was shortlisted for the State Poetry Prize 2023.
