Maria Mamaligka <\/strong>was born in Rhodes. She studied chemistry and cinema at undergraduate and postgraduate level, in Athens (NKUA) and in England (UEA). She taught for six years as a lecturer in Science Teaching at the University of the Aegean in Rhodes. She currently teaches cinema at the Athens School of Fine Arts. She has published short stories and critical texts on cinema, literature and visual arts. She has translated texts from English into Greek and vice versa, and has edited books. By 2002, she had published eight children’s books. Merk\u00e1do (2024) is her first novel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
